A Brief History

The Midway church of Christ has existed for many years. Prior to one year ago Jack Wise worked with the congregation for approximately three years. Fifteen months ago he departed to work elsewhere. At that time the congregation did not obtain the services of a full time evangelist.

Current Status – October 2006

We now have eighteen members. Beginning October 1, 2006, Tim Glover, an evangelist for the past twenty eight years, began working with the Midway Church of Christ (midway between Monteagle/Sewanee). A native of Texas, he previously evangelized and served churches in the Midwest. He is anxious to serve this community with their spiritual needs and to lead our members in doing likewise. The thrust of his preaching is God’s gospel message found only in the bible. From a spiritual standpoint, he shuns the philosophy of men. You are invited to visit the congregation and get to know him.

Truly, Midway is a “mission”. Our purpose is to evangelize. God will give the increase. Midway needs your help. Your commitment to help us evangelize this region will be greatly appreciated.
